sjTasks vs monday.com

monday.com calls itself a work OS, and that is fair: boards with typed columns, dashboards, automations, integrations, and CRM, Dev and Service products on the same platform. Teams who want to design their own process, and have it look good while they do, get a lot from it.

sjTasks does not ask you to design a process. A task already has the fields an agency needs, the reports already answer the questions a business owner asks, and the price is one number a month.

Where they differ

Topic monday.com sjTasks
Pricing model Per seat. Billed annually, Basic is $9 per seat a month, Standard $12 and Pro $19; Enterprise is by quote. Monthly billing is offered at a higher rate; their page shows the annual figures, so those are the ones here. Flat. Team is $29 a month for up to 15 people and 50 GB; Business is $79 for unlimited people and 500 GB.
Clients and guests Viewers, who can read but not edit, are free and unlimited. Guest access — outside people who see only the boards they are invited to — starts at Standard. Their page does not say how guests are billed. Guests read and add notes, and are never counted, on every plan.
Features by tier Unlimited items and free viewers at Basic; Timeline and Gantt, calendar, guest access and 250 automation and integration actions a month at Standard; time tracking, private boards, advanced views and 25,000 actions at Pro; portfolio and resource management at Enterprise. None. Every plan does everything.
Free plan or trial A Free plan for up to 2 seats and 3 boards, and a 14-day trial of Pro. A Free plan with every feature and no card — 3 people, 2 active projects, 1 GB.
10 people and 20 clients Guest access starts at Standard, so 10 seats at $12: $120 a month billed annually. Time tracking is a Pro feature, which makes it $190 a month billed annually. Team, $29 a month, with time logging and reporting included.

What monday.com does that we do not

  • Boards with typed columns and more than two hundred templates to start from.
  • Automations and integrations, with workflows that chain them.
  • Timeline, Gantt and calendar views, and dashboards on Pro.
  • AI tools on every paid plan.
  • Apps for iOS and Android.
  • A Free plan, and CRM, Dev and Service products on the same platform.

What we do that monday.com does not

  • A board and a list of the same project, on every plan — neither one behind a tier.
  • Ask a question in plain words — "what is late for Jane this week" — and get a table back.
  • Work from anywhere, on any device: a fast web app built for a phone on a bad connection, with nothing to install and nothing to update.
  • Tasks that arrive by email and by Slack, and notifications you can reply to.
  • Estimates, logged time and the reports that compare them, on every plan. On monday.com, time tracking begins at Pro.
  • Guests free and uncounted, on every plan — Free included.
  • A flat price with no per-seat arithmetic and no seat minimum.
  • One daily or weekly summary email that carries the content.
  • A task that already has the fields you need — owner, priority, estimate, due date, logged time — with nothing to build first.
  • Almost nothing is destroyed: work is canceled, projects are archived, and what an admin does delete waits 30 days in a trash.
