sjTasks vs Trello
Trello is for people who think in boards: cards in columns, dragged from left to right, with Power-Ups and automation when you need more. It is quick to start, inexpensive per seat, and its free plan is enough for a lot of small teams. If your work is a pipeline and a board is how you see it, Trello is the natural pick.
sjTasks gives you the board and the answers. The same project opens as a list or as a board, on every plan, and a task carries an owner, a priority, an estimate and a due date wherever you look at it. What a board cannot tell you on its own — what is late, who is overloaded, how the hours compare with the estimate — is a question you ask here in plain words and get back as a table you can send to a client.

What we do that Trello does not
- A board and a list of the same project, on every plan — neither one behind a tier.
- A priority, an estimate and logged hours on every task, and reports that compare them across projects — on every plan.
- Ask a question in plain words — "what is late for Jane this week" — and get a table back.
- Work from anywhere, on any device: it is a fast web app built for a phone on a bad connection, with nothing to install and nothing to update.
- Tasks that arrive by email and by Slack, and notifications you can reply to.
- Guests free on any number of projects. A client who is on three of your projects is still not a seat.
- The table of every task — sortable, filterable, sendable as a link — and the reports, on the smallest plan.
- A flat price, so the eleventh person and the twentieth client change nothing on the invoice.
- One daily or weekly summary email that carries the content.
- Almost nothing is destroyed: work is canceled, projects are archived, and what an admin does delete waits 30 days in a trash.
