What is not built yet

The honest list of what sjTasks cannot do today, so you are never hunting for a button that is not there.

sjTasks is in active use and being added to every week. This page is the list of things that are not here yet, kept in one place so you never spend ten minutes looking for a control that does not exist.

Nothing here is hidden behind a setting or a plan. It is simply not built.

Reporting

A saved view cannot email itself. "Send me every past-due task every Monday at eight" is not something you can set up. The daily and weekly summaries do arrive by email and do carry what is late — see Notifications and summaries.
No grouping, no subtotals, and no spreadsheet export on the Tasks table.
No workload or estimate-against-actual view. Estimate against logged hours is on each task; it is not yet a list you can run across a project or a person.

Ways of looking at work

No board view. Tasks are a table and a project page, not columns you drag between.
No calendar or timeline view, and no Gantt chart.

Labels

Labels exist on tasks and the quick-add box understands #billable — but there is no screen for creating or managing them yet, so #billable only attaches a label your workspace already has. If you want labels set up, ask us and we will put them in for you.

Task lists

Task lists group tasks inside a project, and tasks land in them. There is no screen yet for creating, renaming or reordering a task list. Ask and we will set a project's lists up.

Files

No file manager. Files live on the task you attached them to. There is no folder tree and no place to browse everything your workspace holds. Anything attached today will appear in the file manager when it lands; nothing will need re-uploading.
No link attachments. You cannot yet attach "the design file at this address" as a first-class thing; put the address in a note.

Tasks

No recurring tasks.
No dependencies beyond a subtask blocking its parent.
One owner per task. Sharing a piece of work means two tasks, or a parent with subtasks.
Subtasks go one level deep, on purpose. That one is a decision, not a gap.
No custom fields.
No running timer. You log hours after the fact; there is no stopwatch to start and forget.
A logged time entry cannot be edited — remove it and log it again.

Discussion

Notes are on tasks only. There is nowhere to put project-wide thinking except a task in that project.
No project chat. A place to talk that is not attached to one task is coming.

Settings you cannot change yourself

Your own timezone, your workspace's timezone, and the day your week starts on. They are set for you; tell us and we will change them.
Whether time tracking is on, for the workspace or for one project.

Accounts and billing

No self-serve signup. Workspaces are set up by us.
No billing screen, no card on file, no invoices in the app. Billing is arranged directly.

Deleting

There is no delete button anywhere in sjTasks, and that is deliberate. A task that will not happen is canceled; a project that is finished is archived. Both keep the record, both are reversible, and neither can be done by accident in a bad moment. If something genuinely needs to be destroyed — test data, something pasted in by mistake — ask us and we will do it.
